Shabree has been learning about bats in school, and that was one thing she "showed off" at Open House.
We ended up skipping going to Lodi tonight because Renee had to work and couldn't meet up with us. Sammi had speech therapy, so I didn't mind. I had THOUGHT we set up the speech therapy for 5, but she showed up at 4, and I don't know if that's the time we set and I forgot, or if she just came an hour early. It didn't really matter, I was just trying to get the house looking nicer for her, and it was okay. Fortunately, we'd already been working for 20 minutes or so on it, and it looked much better already. Sammi LOVES speech, because she spends the entire time playing. Everyone was getting into it, even Alex.
I'm thinking about starting a Scrapper for Hire business, which I think would be fun. I've got to put together some really nice layouts though that I can take pictures of and put online for my portfolio. I was looking through all my albums last night, and some of the nicer ones just have things that came from swaps on them. They have things I made, but also swap items, and so I need to make pages that are my creation alone. So I am going to make some pages for myself, and I am going to make some pages for a woman I know online, so that I can use her testimonial in my business. I am going to charge her the cost of materials only. And she's going to give me Disney pictures, so that'll be perfect. I am just not sure how much to charge. I am seeing rates anywhere from 15/page to 35 dollars/page. PER PAGE. Books are around 350-385.
I am going to have to get myself to bed, so will post this.

Saturday Pictures (these are ALL out of order):

Sunday pictures (again out of order):

Monday Pictures:

This is Shabree. Dear Family, I am doing well in scool. On off track month I will have fun.
On Easter I had fun.

This is Sydni
On Easter Nik and Cassie were a little rambuncshuse but over all they were good.I got a iPod for Easter from Becca. She did not wont to give it to my but she got a mp3 player for her b-day.I had fun on Easter Sunday.I hope you did too.I had to sleep with Shabree for almost #2 week.bye everybody.

Sarah's turn:
I told the girls they could help me write the blog, but that's all they wanted to write. Better than nothing, though, right? LOL, Shabree wanted to write it like a letter. I will try to keep her at it, because I think it would be good for her writing skills to do this. Of course, I myself need to keep this up better. Out of sight, out of mind you know. If I don't keep it up on my screen, I tend to forget all about it and then a week's gone by without me even realizing it.
We had a nice Easter. The girls got some candy, chalk to share, and bubbles to share as well, plus a refill for their bubbles. Of course, Nik and Cassie loved all that stuff as well. They went home Sunday night, and it's been very quiet ever since... LOL considering how much noise our kids make. We went to a local park on Saturday for an Easter egg hunt, and then had one here at home on Sunday. At some point last week our microwave bit the dust (second one this year, too! Something's gotta be wrong with the electrical in this house) so we had to eat our dinner soon after it came out of the oven, because we couldn't re-heat it. We priced microwaves, but since we ended up replacing the van this week as well, as the old one bit the dust about the same time as the microwave, well, we didn't really have the money to replace both, and of course, the van took priority. The van we ended up buying was a couple of years older than ours, same model basically, just a 95 vs a 97, and we paid 1100 for it. SUCH a bummer that our van couldn't hold on any longer. This "new" one runs great though.
Shabree asked me if we could take a vacation when they go off track. I don't know about that... I would love to, but 1) Money's still really tight tight, and 2) We wouldn't be able to take Becca, who would still be in school, and that wouldn't really be fair to her, though I'm NOT sure she'd care. She probably would though. The local pool opens up near the end of May, and the local park is supposed to turn on the spray ground near the end of May, so maybe we'll go have some picnics at the park... the pool is going to cost us, and I don't know that we'll have the money for that, either, since a summer pass is 50 dollars for Shabree on up, and Sammi is still 40 dollars, so that's 290 dollars for all of us...even with a discount of 100 dollars for our family (there's a low income program), it's still 190, which is a LOT for us. So, while I would LOVE to be able to go to the pool every day, I'm not real sure about it. It's the first year in a couple of years that we can even CONSIDER it, but it's still a lot. The spray ground is free, we can take a picnic with us (well, we could do that at the pool too...) Just the pool would be SO much more fun for us. I could see going every day. Still...190 dollars...
Okay, moving on... I put Alex in the tub with Sammi for the first time yesterday where she wasn't in her own little infant tub, and she did great. She even crawled on all fours to get the things she wanted out of the water! She hardly ever crawls on all fours, she usually just gets into a military crawl on her tummy. It's kind of an odd crawl, but it must feel safer to her. She does do it cross pattern, which I was happy to see, but every time she'd get up on her hands and knees, she'd kind of keel over forwards and quickly revert to her tummy crawl. Surprisingly too, that tummy crawl, she's FAST with it. She can really get around. I'll put her in a sitting postion in the living room, go to my scrap room, and 5 minutes later, she's crawled into my scrap room. Anyway, in the tub, she fell over 3 times, once the water knocked her over, once Sammi inadvertently knocked her over, and once Sammi was simply trying to wash her and knocked her over hard that time, so I took her out after that. They had fun playing together in the tub though. I took some pictures and video, but I accidentally erased the video. I forget that it doesn't download with the pictures, so I reformatted the card without thinking, and there went my video. I do that way too much. But, I got some pictures, so I guess it's all right. I'll have to scrap it for the two of them. I'm WAY behind on my scrapbooking, and I really need to go a bunch of pages for those two, Sammi especially so she'll have something more to look at in her book.
Let's see, what else? Sammi had her first official speech therapy last week at our house, and is now scheduled for Wednesdays at 5, and she's doing just GREAT with it. She's got so many more words now, and some 2 word sentences. You can't understand everything she says, but she's doing loads better, and loves to talk on the phone. She's getting so big... sigh. And the fact that Alex will be one in just over a month kind of breaks my heart. My babies.... wah.
I guess I'd better wrap up... it's 5:30 and someone needs to start getting some dinner, or the girls are going to get it for themselves, and that would be bad. We had to give Sydni some hot sauce today for taking our things after being told no... and that girl! She dumped the hot sauce, and lied that she'd already taken it. She got an extra spoon of it for that. I asked her when she was going to stop being sneaky, and she says "Soon." SOON? When the heck is soon? She never did give me an answer, and her antics with the hot sauce had me laughing, for which I felt SO bad about, though she's SUCH a little drama queen. I finally told her as I was hugging her and apologizing for laughing, that soon needs to mean now. I always did have a problem of laughing at totally inappropriate moments. I don't even know why... to relieve tension maybe (though Syd IS a total drama queen, and her wailing was kinda funny in a sad sort of way... does that make me a bad mother?) I had to leave the room, so I took Shabree and Sammi and hid out in my scrap room, helping Shabree with her homework.
I hope to make the updates from Syd and Shabree more of an ongoing thing, hopefully it'll help their spelling and writing skills, though this is supposed to be FUN, so I'm not going to push it too terribly much.

Okay, I am out of here.

The boy is Nik. And two cute pictures of Sammi. I need to take some pics of Alex, I don't know if I've taken any recently. In the last couple of days, I mean. Oh yea, I have, because I just posted them. But I never feel right if I go more than a couple of days without pics of my baby girls. Of ANY of my girls, but the older ones are never around when I'm taking pictures. So they rarely get a picture taken of them. I need to get all the movies off the card first though. Well, Nik took them, so maybe I'll just skip it.
Jane bought us pizza today, spent way too much on them (IMO) but it was GOOD and yummy. We have no van right now, because it broke down last night. Jerry's not sure if we should fix it or spend 1000 dollars to buy a "new" one. I don't know personally. We not only have to pay to fix it, but we have the registration, and the A.C. has been out for the past few years, and it would be SO nice to have a van with A/C, and it would also be nice if we could get a van that sat 8 instead of 7. Just to have the extra seat. Actually, I would LOVE it if we could get a van that seated 10 or 12. THAT would be ideal. Anyway, appears to be a belt that went out, maybe the power steering, we're not sure. It RUNS, it just doesn't STEER. Hopefully Jerry can get it over to the repair shop tomorrow. I wish he could have done it today. I think I'll see if I can go with him, Wal mart is across the street, and we need toilet paper. I need tape. I should make a list so I don't/can't forget. I haven't been anywhere other than the house in days, and I'm going a little stir crazy. I could use a trip out.
Well, I am going to wrap up. Not much of a post, but I want to work on my scraproom. I put some stuff away earlier, but I have a bunch of stuff on the floor I MUST put away or it's going to get ruined for sure.
So guess I'll get going. Dinner's going to be ready soon anyway.

These were taken at the end of last month. So just a few days ago really. Jane has come to stay with us, we're not sure for how long at this point. So Nik and Cassie are here as well. Right now, I am watching them plus Sammi and Alex. Alex is down for a nap. I was nursing her earlier and falling asleep, dozing really. I was wishing I COULD just go to sleep, but I knew Jerry and Jane would be leaving soon to take her to an appointment, so I got myself up and put Alex in her playpen. Still, it was so nice to just lay with her. She just sucks while she sleeps, and it's so cute, and sweet. I'd take pictures, but it just shows a little too much...um, boob.
Shabree has lost her homework twice this week, then found it. When she loses it, I always find other things for her to do on the internet, so she'll at least be practicing SOMETHING. I need to work with her on her spelling words tonight so she can ace her spelling test tomorrow. That's the only thing about losing her homework is the spelling words. It's hard to know which words she should be practicing...there's so MANY of them, lol (words that is. HA)
Nik is on the toher computer and Sammi and Cassie are playing outside in the back, together, very nicely. Sammi I think, is loving having someone here to play with other than her sisters. I'll have to put them down for naps in 45 minutes or so. I have an appointment myself here at the house at 1:30 to finalize the paperwork for Sammi's speech therapy. Her words have improved SO much in just the last two weeks, it's amazing. AMAZING. And so nice to see. She's saying whole sentences, and is clearer. She's so cute.
Well, the kids are back in, so guess I'll go check on them.
