Okay, pool pics now. My camera is waterproof, so some pictures have water on the lens. Not much I can do about that. I LOVE my camera, it's also shockproof, so I am able to let Sammi "play" with it without worry. She LOVES to take pictures, I'll have to show you some of her pictures some day. Some are not too shabby. All the older girls are able to take a decent picture just because they get to use the camera so often.
The first time Shabree jumped off the high dive, she did something of a belly flop, so the next time she went up, she didn't dive. The NEXT time though, she did. She did not do a lot of jumping from the diving board, and I only went once. I forgot how boring it can be, lol.
Sammi does not like to get water on her head, so every time she was forced to go in any sprinkler situation, she was not happy about it. And I had a heck of a time getting her in the water at times. I kept having to tell her "You're ok. I've got you. You're not hurt. It is OK." She held on to me TIGHT. She loved it and hated it both. The best time I think she had was when we went into the zero depth entry and she was able to come and go as she pleased. I just sat myself down and watched her. She ran in and out of the pool, though not too far. She also liked being able to dangle her feet into the water in the "big" pool, and surprisingly, none of the lifeguards gave me any problems for it, even though she did not have on a life jacket... in fact, had she had one on, they'd probably have made me leave. I just kept real close to her there so that if she somehow accidentally fell in, I could simply grab her out. I kept kissing her, she rather enjoyed that. It was a LOT of one on one mommy time. Becca took her a few times, but she didn't want to be with Becca, and that might have been because Becca dunked her. I don't think Becca quite understands Sammi's limits. But all in all, Sammi had fun, and it was okay. Becca spent almost no time with me (go figure) and Syd spent a little, but found some friends to play with and would disappear off with them, which was fine as well. We were there from 12:30 to when they closed at 5, which was something of a disappointment, I would have liked to have been there til 6 at least. When we came home, we did "fend for yourself" dinner, I had a sandwich and soup with Shabree. Chicken corn chowder, YUM. Jerry mentioned later that I'd gotten quite a tan, which I had. It was a great day.
