Stray dog
So there's been this dog hanging around the neighborhood, it pretty much sticks to the street in front of our house (according to Jerry). He's really skinny, so the kids gave him some dog food. Poor thing. He ran away from Jerry, probably been beaten. Shabree and Syd are GAGA for this dog. They want to keep him. Jerry said no. I said no. They were absolutely pitiful about it! I told Syd she doesn't take care of the dog we HAVE, and she told me she does too! That she feeds her when she doesn't have any dog food. Now, this may, or may not, be a lie. Because I think SYD believes it's true, but she does NOT feed the dog. She feeds the dog maybe about as often as *I* feed the dog. It's Becca's job, and even Jerry has to remind Becca to do it. If I happen to notice that she's out of food, I'll feed her, or if she communicates that she needs food. But that's actually not very often. So until they start treating the dog they already have like she's important to them, no more dogs. If I decide I actually want to take care of a dog (don't get me wrong, I love Paula. However, I AM allergic to her), I will get a hypo allergenic dog that I intend to be MY dog, that I will take responsibility for. However, I look at it like I have 5 children and their dog, I don't have time to take care of a dog, so I have no intentions of getting a dog right now. Becca claims that Paula is hers, so that's why she's been put in charge of her food and water. But she's still not real good at remembering to feed her. I think Jerry does it quite a bit (because after all, we can't let Paula starve, poor doggy.) So the stray went on his way after awhile, Syd was with me and her mom, shopping, and Shabree stayed here, but got tired and cold so came in to watch a movie. She wanted to bring the dog in with her, but Jerry said no. I suspect that when the dog gets hungry, he'll be back... and I suspect that my children will feed him. He's a sweet little thing, I must say. The kids, however, may very well drive me NUTS with wanting to adopt him.

Yea I agree, you defiantly don't need another dog. I think one is enough myself. I sometimes think I want to get another dog and then I remember I work all the time and barely get to spend time with Johnny. Then there is the fact that Johnny doesn't like other dogs.. lol
