Got plenty of pictures to share today. Just need to go get the camera. We went swimming the other day. Makes me wish we had a pool, better yet, season passes to the aquatic center so I could do some serious swimming. I had SO much fun the other day, and I burned off a TON of calories. I'm trying to figure out how to get a season pass, though I've already missed so much swim time. And Shabree at least, starts back to school on July 20th, so that's not very long, she'll be in school til Sept, then a month off. So I don't know that it's feasible to get season passes. I'm going to start saving though, so I can definitely get them next year, in May. What's really sad? Season passes to Water World are 35 dollars. Not that you can "swim" at Water World. Well, I suppose you CAN swim in the wave pool. I have plans in my head for a backyard pool that can be swum in year round, even in December, even in the rain. Now THAT would be fun.
I had a really good birthday. Got quite a few presents from the girls, and a "crown" from Shabree, lol... that "crown" was silly, but how could I NOT wear it? She's so sweet. She got herself grounded to her room yesterday though. We were cleaning the house so the speech therapist would have a place to work and not see our house cluttered and messy, and Shabree refused to help clean and was quite rude and disrepectful to Jerry and I. Becca was too, but she at least did what she was asked to do. Shabree, though, decided she'd rather spend the day in her room than help clean. So she did, though I let her out to get some exercise later in the evening... no park, just bike riding. Sammi went with us, in the bike trailer I got for her and Alex (Alex HATES it, but Sammi loves it, hopefully Alex will come around soon enough.) Anyway, Sammi is happy to go places in the trailer. It gives me quite a workout! It's like adding 35 pounds to me! When Alex is in there, add another 20 on top of that! Whew! Sometimes I can barely pedal, and my legs are definitely getting stronger! I was at 213 this morning, but it's fake, because yesterday I was at 216, and I didn't lose 3 pounds overnight. Anyway, I'm down at least 10 pounds, so I'm happy with that. I fit SO much better into my jeans. That was the first goal in any case. So now that I've reached that goal, I need to get down another 15-20 pounds (maybe 25) so I can fit into the size 16 clothes that I own. Though I just bought 3 new pairs of size 18 jeans, one new, 2 from the thrift store. I got a 60 dollar pair of jeans for 15 bucks! YEA!
Alex is doing pretty well, not much to report there. She didn't go swimming with us (thankfully since I had my hands FULL with Sammi) but she's growing like a weed and is still a joy. I'm still breast feeding her as well.
And there's nothing new on the job front, sigh.
Well, 4th of July is coming up next. We think we're going to go watch fireworks at the park, probably go earlier this year and get a better view, maybe we'll take a picnic dinner this time. That would be fun. I'm not quite sure what to do with Alex though, she's still crawling and not walking, though she's definitely cruising the furniture and getting stronger. Oh well, we'll figure it out!
After the 4th of July is Jerry's birthday on Monday, the 6th. I have a present in mind for him (which he knows what that is... but I'll probably have to get it on Monday... I'm not sure.) Then Shabree's birthday is next, on the 10th. After that, we don't have another birthday, though our friend and former nanny, Kim's, is on the 22nd (boy, I'd better have gotten that right!!! She reads this!) At some time this month, we have to go to Santa Cruz. We promised that we'd do it at least once a month each month this summer. It feels like we just went though... maybe closer to Shabree's birthday, or maybe closer to when they go back to school. I'm going to have to call Kim to see when she has off. Loverboy (the 80s group) will be there playing on Shabree's birthday, but she's pretty sure she doesn't want to go then. So it's either the aquatic center or John's Pizza. She, of course, can't make up her mind!
I think I'll do another post with the swimming pictures. There's just too many pictures of my birthday and swimming. I also have pics of Alex to upload.
